Pastor | Author | Documentarian | Teacher
Rev. Jon D. Imme was a dedicated servant of God whose true calling was rooted in his profound love for God's Word and his unyielding compassion with Jesus' the "Least of These." For 45 years, he tirelessly ministered to a diverse range of individuals, including the homeless, inmates, gang members, youth in foster care, the elderly and the differently-abled. In parallel to these endeavors, he served as pastor at his multicultural urban church in Los Angeles and took on a teaching role at Lutheran High School. Jon's global outreach efforts were multi-faceted, encompassing various forms of media and written expression. He collaborated with his wife to produce documentary videos that resonated with audiences worldwide, shedding light on stories that inspire cross-cultural, cross-denominational awareness in our community. Jon's literary contributions include "Where is the Exit” which stands as a poignant journal and devotional, recounting his personal 12-month battle with pancreatic cancer; The Rivers, Canyons, and Drones Trilogy which represents biblical allegories: The Librarians (Old Testament), The Two Fathers (New Testament), and The Newolds (The Last Days). A testament to Jon's unwavering commitment and the profound culmination of his life's work is his latest and forthcoming book, Church We Have A Problem which offers a deep exploration of fundamental truths, challenging both the Church and its followers in the contemporary context.
